UCO Catalog   The University catalog is the source of information for academic rules, regulations, procedures and programs. Each student is responsible for indentifying and completing the requirements of his or her degree program. Students are responisble for the accuracy of their schedules, including changes and withdrawels.
Credit hours  
  • 124 College-level hours.
  • 30 hours at UCO exclusive of corresponsdence and extension credit.
  • 15 of the last 30 hours applying toward the degree must be satisfactorily completed at UCO.
  • 60 semester hours, excluding physical education activity courses, from colleges that award bachelor's degrees (senior colleges/universities).
  • 40 semester hours, excluding physical education activity courses, of upper division (3000 and 4000) level.
  • 15 semester hours of major courses at the upper division (3000 and 4000) level.
  • 10 semester hours in the major in residence at UCO.
  • 6 semester hours of upper division (3000 and 4000) level in each minor.
Other regulations  
  • Extra institutional examination credit is not considered residence credit at UCO.
  • Of the 124 semester hours required for graduation, 120 hours must be based on course work exclusive of physical education activity courses.
  • A maximum of 6 semester hours of workshop credit may apply toward the degree.
  • When applicable, a maximum of 12 semester hours credit may be applied to both general education and to majors and/or minors.
  • When a course or courses may apply to both the major and the minor, the course or courses must be replaced with an equal number of credit hours from either of the two areas. This limitiation also applies to dourble majors and courses required in both the major and professional education.
  • The General Studies Liberal Arts and Sciences is not allowed to be a component in double major. See an undergraduate academic advisor to determine criteria for a double major.
Computer proficiency  

Students admitted after Fall 1998 must demonstrate proficiency as defined by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.

Minimum GPA   Each degree program in the UCO undergraduate catalog specifies minimum grade point averages for (1) major course work, (2) UCO course work, and (3) total work, exclusive of physical education activity courses.
Graduation applications   Students must complete an application for graduation at the Center for Undergraduate Advisement, UC 121, as soon as possible after their final enrollment.
