The officially recommended prerequisite is PHY 3884 (Mathematical Physics I). However, if you have had mathematics through differential equations (and are not scared off by words like - vector calculus, boundary conditions, divergence theorem, fourier series, . . . ) and would like to see some real math applied to real problems, come by and we get you enrolled.
